Role and Responsibilities – Full time, permanent

Covered Bridge Potato Chip Company is a fast-paced environment where people who are interested in challenging work and continuous learning and training thrive.

Reporting to the Director of Quality Control and SQF Practitioner, the Quality Control Technicians are passionate about their jobs and their responsibility to uphold the Covered Bridge Chips core value of “quality product and quality ingredients”.

Job functions include, but not limited to;

  • Collection of samples of products at various stages of processing for testing
  • Examining finished products to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Conducting routine testing and inspection of raw materials
  • Inspecting all production areas and lines for all attributes of product quality
  • Assisting in the resolution of customer complaints relating to quality assurance
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately in a timely manner
  • Enforcement of established food safety guidelines
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of QC
  • Maintaining quality and production documents

Ensure all tasks and duties are performed with constant regard to personal health and safety and the health and safety of all other employees and/or visitors

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school education, additional Food Science or Food Safety Diploma considered an asset
  • Experience in reviewing and maintaining quality documents for compliance
  • Proficient in Office and Windows-based software (such as excel)

Preferred Skills and Traits

The successful candidate will have a willingness to learn new processes and procedures, follow instructions, be precise and accurate, ability to work independently and as a part of the team, must have strong communication skills, and a problem solver.

Compensation & Hours of Work

  • Compensation: commiserate upon experience
  • Health and Dental Benefits: Eligible after 3 months
  • Rotating shifts
