We are currently looking to fill the position of Maintenance Technician to work within our London, Ontario head office.

ROLE STATUS

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Status: This is a replacement position due to a recent vacancy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

TerraCorp Management, located in London, Ontario, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of residential properties. As the Maintenance Technician you will:

  • Plastering and drywall repairs
  • Fencing and repairs to such
  • Carpentry - repair/adjust/replace doors and cabinets; install replacement baseboard and/or shoe mold, cupboards, vanities and countertops
  • Plumbing - repair/replace toilets or toilet seals; fix leaking pipes; repair/replace sinks and faucets; repair/replace shower heads; taps or controls; alternatively assist with the diagnosis of any issues prior to calling service technician
  • Changing light fixtures and repair/replace defective or malfunctioning outlets; repair/replace light fixtures; alternatively assist with the diagnosis of any issues prior to calling service technician
  • Minor Flooring repairs repair minor gaps in hardwood flooring
  • Basic Appliances repairs – repair/replace any defective or malfunctioning appliances including refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers; alternatively assist with the diagnosis of any issues prior to calling service technician
  • Painting/ Plastering – complete plastering and painting repairs
  • Tiling – repairs and replacement as required
  • Supporting our Maintenance team members and special project teams
  • General property management maintenance repair
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in general repairs
  • Experience installing and repairing drywall
  • Ability to perform flooring repair on laminate floors as well as installation of trims and baseboards
  • Basic knowledge of electric and plumbing
  • Great attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Effective communication skills, to ensure items are addressed as needed

Salary range for this position is $20.00- $25.00 per hour. We offer the following benefits:
