Job Overview:
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Operations Manager will manage all aspects of the Delta operational facility. Ideally, you will have prior management experience in trucking, logistics, or warehousing. This position offers a competitive salary with an incentive program and health benefits.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and providing support to all terminal staff.
- Responsible for all operational areas while ensuring efficiencies and meeting on-time service goals.
- Work with all employees to ensure smooth operations under all conditions.
- Maintain policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with federal and provincial transportation, safety, and employment legislation.
- Ensure that appropriate safety training, supplies and equipment are provided.
- Ensure high productivity standards are met.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Management experience required.
- Transportation experience required – LTL experience preferred!
- Dispatch experience required.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Professional attitude in all interactions representing Comox Pacific Express Ltd.
- Forklift Certification an asset.
- Basic geographical knowledge of the GVRD/FV, Sea to Sky and Sunshine Coast regions.
- Competent with Microsoft Office software – including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and manage critical and unplanned requirements.
- Ability to lead diverse groups and communicate effectively with these groups.
- Ability to multi-task and execute fast-paced solutions in a quick and accurate manner.
- Ability to learn and operate within our in house tracking and billing software.
Compensation:
- Annual salary range $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience
