2026 Turnaround and Projects - Quality Control Level 2

Our Offer to You:

  • Location: Various Locations in Alberta
  • Schedule: Shutdown/Turnaround Work – with staggard starts from August 2026 with multiple projects available – work until October 2026

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure project team adherence to Stuart Olson’s Quality Management System
  • Assist in the development and execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), including identifying hold/witness points and securing client approvals
  • Review technical documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications) to support field execution
  • Conduct inspections of welding activities, verifying compliance with approved welding procedures
  • Perform multi-discipline field inspections and verify product quality
  • Prepare Nondestructive Examination (NDE) requests and review NDE Reports.
  • Liaise with authorized Inspectors for pressure vessel repairs and ASME B31.1 piping inspections
  • Participate in audits of the Quality Management System

Qualifications

  • CWB Level 2 welding inspector certification (required)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance or construction industry
  • Journeyman trade designation an asset
  • E.T. in Welding Engineering Technology (WET) or Materials Engineering Technology (MET) an asset
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities (TSBC, ABSA, TSASK, ITSM)
  • Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products and Bluebeam Revu
  • Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test

Required Safety Tickets - are site dependant

  • CSTS 2020
  • CSO or BSO
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry & Monitor

Working Conditions

  • Able to and exposure to working at heights, in confined spaces and around noise and dust
  • Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be clean shaven
  • Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
