HVAC Residential Service Manager & Technical Specialist

About the Role

Acclaimed! Heating, Cooling & Furnace Cleaning is seeking a hands-on leader who combines technical excellence with coaching, accountability, and operational leadership. This role is responsible for overseeing daily service and installation operations, developing technicians, and contributing directly to revenue through advanced diagnostics, repairs, and client-focused solutions.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, mentoring others, solving complex technical challenges, and helping build a high-performing team.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Coaching (Approx. 50%)

  • Train, mentor, and develop Service and Installation Technicians.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and performance coaching.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, processes, and safety requirements.
  • Support technicians in achieving individual and team KPIs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.

Technical Work & Revenue Generation (Approx. 25%)

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on residential HVAC systems.
  • Support technicians with complex service and installation challenges.
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences through technical expertise and professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, memberships, and accessories that genuinely benefit clients.
  • Contribute directly to department revenue and profitability goals.

Operations & Administration (Approx. 25%)

  • Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and workload management for Service and Installation teams.
  • Review work orders, job documentation, and quality standards.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and team performance metrics.
  • Assist with inventory management, equipment readiness, and fleet coordination.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Certification in Gasfitting, Sheet Metal, Refrigeration, or a related HVAC trade. Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service and installation experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership, mentoring, or training experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop others.
  • Sales-oriented mindset focused on helping clients make informed decisions.
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software.
  • Strong understanding of KPI management and operational performance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
