Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Operator/Helpers in Camrose, AB to support daily rail and transloading operations at an industrial facility. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently.

Job Description
In this role, you will assist with switching operations, support transloading activities, and help ensure the safe movement and placement of railcars.

This is an entry-level opportunity with training provided for individuals who are reliable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Schedule may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on site needs

Compensation
Starting pay: $28.87 per hour

Duties

  • Operate hand and ground throw switches, derails, and gates
  • Control movement of equipment using radio, hand signals, and lanterns
  • Couple and uncouple railcars; handle air hoses and wheel chocks
  • Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment
  • Assist with transloading activities, including handling liquid products from tank cars
  • Monitor track and work areas for hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Follow all operating procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check
  • Dependable with reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction from leadership
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Military experience is a plus
