Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Millwork Table Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to fabricate materials according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in reading shop drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate sliding table saw and other woodworking equipment, to produce precise cuts on various materials to ensure proper assembly and function of the final product.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings to determine specifications for cutting tasks.
  • Prepare and manage accurate detailed cut lists for production, and to optimize material efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery effectively for fabrication tasks.
  • Setting up, adjusting, and operating edge banding machines to apply edging materials to various wood and composite panels.
  • Assist in manufacture and assembly of millwork.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance on saws, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Millwork Table Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proficiency in blueprint and shop drawings reading is essential.
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate cut lists is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of woodworking machinery, including setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials, and stand for extended periods of time.
