Full job description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform light-duty truck and trailer repairs (lights, airlines, mudflaps, minor electrical, etc.).
  • Schedule and transport equipment for:
  • CVIPs
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Warranty repairs
  • Tire appointments
  • Specialty repairs
  • Monitor ELD/HOS compliance and flag log violations.
  • Assist with city cartage dispatch, including:
  • Planning local deliveries and pickups
  • Driver assignments
  • Trailer swaps
  • Customer ETA updates
  • Helping when dispatch gets busy
  • Keep maintenance records organized.
  • Follow up on repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with yard organization and equipment readiness.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE a valid Class 1A licence.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete minor repairs.
  • Transportation industry experience.
  • Familiarity with ELD systems and Hours of Service.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and jump between shop, yard, and dispatch.
