Company Overview

Pylon Electronics Inc is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration facility supporting both electronic and physical test equipment and is one of the largest Canadian Owned Calibration Laboratories. Pylon Electronics has a solid reputation in the repair and calibration of measuring instruments. We currently have seven laboratories located in Montreal (QC), Ottawa (ON), Toronto (ON), Dartmouth (NS), Calgary (AB), Edmonton (AB), and Richmond (BC).

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team in Dartmouth. The ambitious individual comes with the skills and qualifications to evaluate equipment testing methods, report data on findings, and review/improve processes and procedures.

What you will do:

· Understand and perform uncertainty calculations.

· Perform calibration and verification of measurement instruments and equipment.

· Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.

· Maintain detailed calibration records and reports.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

· Support quality assurance initiatives and audits.

· Occasionally travel to customer locations to perform on-site calibrations

· Develop test data sheets using Microsoft Excel

· Support additional tasks as assigned.

What we require:

· Graduate of a Mechanical / Electronic Technician/Technologist Program or similar.

· Minimum of 3 years Calibration experience and practical knowledge in the use of test and measurement equipment electronics knowledge

· Well organized and attentive to details

· Demonstrated communication skills

· Meticulous work habits

· Above average skills with MS Excel, and VBA.

· Valid Driver’s License

· Controlled Goods & Industrial Security Clearance of Secret Level II will be required.

Pylon Dartmouth is a unionized facility

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
