  • Analyze the pricing implications of supplier cost increases, tariffs, commodity movements and other market changes, recommending appropriate timing and adjustments.
  • Analyze price sensitivity, quote win/loss, customer buying patterns and competitive pricing to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Analyze margin performance by category, customer, branch and supplier to identify leakage and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Benchmark pricing against competitors and assess the financial impact of proposed pricing responses.
  • Compare actual results to forecast following pricing changes and continuously refine models and assumptions.
Pricing Execution & Governance
  • Maintain list, matrix and customer contract pricing in the ERP, ensuring pricing remains aligned with vendor costs and approved strategies.
  • Administer discount structures and approval limits, reviewing exceptions and escalating requests outside established guidelines.
  • Validate customer quotes, RFQs, special pricing agreements and supplier rebates from a profitability perspective.
  • Maintain clear documentation of pricing changes, assumptions and approvals.
Partnership & Reporting
  • Partner with Product Managers on category pricing and with Data Maintenance to ensure cost and pricing data is accurate and reliable.
  • Support Sales and branches with pricing analysis, quotes and customer repricing reviews.
  • Produce regular pricing, margin and performance reporting for the Director and Operations leadership.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, business analysis or a related analytical role, ideally within wholesale or industrial distribution.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Excel modelling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, forecasting and margin analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work confidently with large, complex data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial and analytical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
