Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Management Officer (PMO) to oversee and coordinate complex projects across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a deep understanding of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and Kanban. The PMO will be responsible for ensuring project alignment with organizational goals, managing risks, vendor relationships, and facilitating effective project execution using industry-standard tools and systems. This role offers an opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, implement best practices in project management, and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Trello, Workday, Basecamp, SharePoint, and Project Server.
  • Lead project planning sessions including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Oversee project execution by coordinating tasks across teams using methodologies like Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, Kanban, and Scrum.
  • Manage project risks through proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies aligned with risk management best practices.
  • Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during project implementation.
  • Supervise project teams and vendor relationships to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and organizational expectations.
  • Monitor project progress through data analysis skills and data collection techniques; prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as PMBOK and requirements management practices.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines effectively while maintaining high levels of communication with all stakeholders.
  • Lead program management efforts for multiple related projects ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Promote continuous improvement by implementing quality management processes and leveraging tools like ServiceNow, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT project management with a strong background in project management methodology including PMBOK.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams and managing vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Workday, Basecamp, and Project Server.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe), Waterfall methodology, Kanban boards, requirements gathering techniques, and product development processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or similar enterprise solutions is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Data analysis skills for tracking project performance metrics and making informed decisions.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP®, PMI-ACP®, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) are highly desirable.
