About VCURA

VCURA is a 16 year old, Canadian-owned cybersecurity-focused technology solutions provider. We help organizations assess, design, implement and manage secure technology environments through a combination of cybersecurity products, professional services and managed services.

Our success is built on strong client relationships, technical expertise and a consultative approach to solving business and security challenges. We are looking for an Account Manager to grow VCURA’s presence across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Our Core Values

At VCURA, we expect every team member to demonstrate:

Integrity - Problem Solving - Accountability - Collaboration - Deliver Results

Why Join VCURA?

  • We’re an established and growing Canadian cybersecurity company with a great reputation.
  • Represent respected cybersecurity and technology partners.
  • Sell a combination of products, professional services and recurring managed services.
  • Work closely with an experienced technical and leadership team.
  • Manage and grow a defined regional territory.
  • Participate in vendor events, client activities and professional-development opportunities.
  • Receive a competitive compensation package with performance-based earning potential.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, expanding existing client relationships and achieving sales targets throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Our Account Managers are expected to understand the client’s business and security objectives, coordinate the resources required to achieve them and ensure the customer has a clear and positive experience at every stage.

This includes:

  • Focusing on the client’s desired business and security outcomes.
  • Responding quickly and following through on commitments.
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Making engagements straightforward, flexible and easy to navigate.
  • Understanding product licensing, subscriptions and purchasing models.
  • Clearly explaining the engagement process and setting realistic expectations.
  • Guiding clients from quotation and order placement through licensing and provisioning.
  • Helping clients navigate the complete product acquisition cycle.
  • Connecting clients with experienced technical professionals who understand the products in real-world environments.
  • Identifying implementation, integration, support and ongoing management requirements.
  • Ensuring clients have access to the resources needed to maintain the health and performance of their solutions.
  • Building long-term partnerships rather than focusing only on individual transactions.

This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who can build credibility with business and technology leaders, understand their priorities and connect those needs to relevant cybersecurity and technology solutions.

You will own the complete sales process from prospecting and discovery through solution development, proposal presentation, negotiation and closing while working closely with VCURA’s technical, services and vendor partner teams.

What You’ll Do

Develop and Execute Territory Strategy

  • Build and execute a sales plan for Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
  • Identify target organizations, decision-makers and new business opportunities.
  • Develop account plans for key clients and prospects.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline capable of supporting annual sales and gross-profit targets.
  • Adjust account and territory strategies based on client needs and market conditions.

Build Strong Client Relationships

  • Develop long-term relationships with senior business, IT and cybersecurity leaders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and strategic planning discussions.
  • Understand each client’s business objectives, technology environment and security priorities.
  • Address client concerns, coordinate issue resolution and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Create New Business Opportunities

  • Prospect through calls, email, networking, referrals, events and partner-led activities.
  • Lead discovery conversations to identify business and technical requirements.
  • Introduce clients to VCURA’s cybersecurity products, professional services and managed services.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to develop solutions and proposals.
  • Manage pricing discussions, negotiations and contract close.

Develop Product and Solution Expertise

  • Build a strong understanding of VCURA’s service offerings and technology partners.
  • Clearly communicate the business value of cybersecurity solutions and services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats and changing customer requirements.
  • Participate in vendor training, sales enablement and certification programs.

Maintain Accurate Forecasting and Reporting

  • Record client interactions, opportunities, activities and next steps in VCURA’s CRM.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts.
  • Provide visibility into pipeline health, deal risks and expected close dates.
  • Track performance against objectives.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of successful business-to-business sales or account management experience.
  • Experience selling technology, cybersecurity, managed services or professional services is strongly preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and expand existing relationships.
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with executives, business leaders and technical stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage pricing and margin.
  • Strong organizational, time-management and territory-planning skills.
  • Experience working with CRM and sales forecasting tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft 365.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you will be expected to:
