Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor

If you are looking for a job that is as challenging as it is rewarding and you are a collaborative leader, we are looking for a Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor. We are seeking a Committed Engaged Leader who is an energetic and positive team player and who wants to be on the frontline of our growth, improvement, and success.

As the Supervisor of our Warehouse and Inventory functions, you will be an important leader on our management team. You will be involved in moving products, managing and maintaining stock levels and traceability, equipment, shipping, receiving, and other warehouse and inventory duties required to keep our facility functioning at a high level. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the warehouse team and you will be a hands-on active contributor on the floor who is dedicated and committed.

Paradise Island Foods is a plant within the Gay Lea Foods Cooperative organization. We have been operating on Vancouver Island since 1978. Responsibilities – you will:

· Lead and manage all warehouse functions including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, staging, shipping, and material handling,

· Manage inventory levels, storage locations and strategies, including layouts and locations to maximize efficiency, utilization, and accuracy.

· Lead inventory counting and reconciliations, including cycle counts and variance investigations.

· Ensure accurate inventory transactions, lot tracking, traceability, stock rotation, and inventory control processes.

· Schedule and manage staff and optimize employee workflow to meet warehouse, operational and shipping requirements.

· Work with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Distribution and other departments to ensure uninterrupted material flow and meet customer demands.

· Ensure facility and equipment are properly utilized and maintained.

· Maintain and direct a high level of housekeeping standards to meet food safety, quality, and health and safety requirements.

· Train, develop, guide, and evaluate team members, which includes performing staff Check-Ins regarding attendance, attitude, and performance.

· Lead process improvement and Microsoft Dynamics D365 system migration.

Qualifications – you have:

· 3-5 years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience.

· Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, traceability and material flow.

· Strong organizational, problem solving, and leadership skills with some leadership experience in a manufacturing, food processing, distribution or related environment.

· Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.

· Natural drive to initiate and maintain accuracy.

· Commitment to food and employee safety and quality.

· Forklift and material handling experience.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an asset.

This position offers competitive wages and benefits, including a team-based profit-sharing bonus.
