Are you looking to start your career in the Food & Beverage industry? This Stewarding position will provide you with the start you need to help grow your career while enjoying a work life balance and all the great activities living in Banff brings.

SUBSIDIZED STAFF ACCOMMODATIONS OFFERED FOR RELOCATING CANDIDATES - HEART OF BANFF NATIONAL PARK

Starting Rate: $20.00 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.50

Please note: This position begins in July and is offered as a minimum six-month contract and full time permanent can be disucussed in the interview.

Job Duties Include:

  • Operate industrial dishwashers safely, wash items by hand when needed, and clean all cookware to a high standard.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing surfaces, keeping floors dry and hazard-free, and storing all cleaned items properly.
  • Manage recycling and trash removal from all designated areas.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and Fairmont standards, reporting any safety concerns or equipment issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by training and working in any required area and performing other assigned duties.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Physically fit and able to work well under pressure
  • Able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50+ lbs
  • Able to bend, twist, climb, and kneel comfortably
  • Reaching above and below shoulder level
  • Working in loud environments, with exposure to hot, humid, and cold conditions, as well as dust, chemicals, fumes, and constant contact of water.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience an asset
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery
  • Passionate and organized about maintaining a clean safe working environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
