Full job description

Murray Hyundai is seeking a Service Advisor with Automotive Service Advising experience.

As a Service Advisor, you are the professional “manager” of the entire customer-oriented service process. You set the standards for customer support. You see every contact with customers as a professional challenge and feel responsible for satisfying the customer’s needs and resolving their concerns.

Responsibilities:

· Greeting the customer, taking over the vehicle and checking the quality and accuracy of the customer and vehicle data (VIN, mileage, instrument cluster messages)

· Defining the scope of repair with the customer

· Defining and explaining the estimated time and costs to be expected

· Reminding the customer of any open work or work recommended during the last visit

· Monitoring the maintenance or repair process to ensure customer promise times are met

· Communicating to the customer any additional work that may be required as identified by the technician

· Preparing for customer consultation and coordinating vehicle handover with the customer

· Explaining the performed work and invoice to the customer

· Explaining the necessity / advantages of any additional recommended services and / or repairs

· Ensuring the customer’s vehicle is in order, conveniently parked and properly cleaned

Background & Skills:

· Automotive experience is a definite asset

· Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction

· Honesty & reliability towards the customer, and adhering to agreements

· Ability to complete tasks independently and responsibly

· Ability to remain polite to customers, even in conflict situations

· PBS experience is a valuable asset

· Solid general PC skills and knowledge of office applications (email, MS Office, Internet, etc...)
