About HotTakes

HotTakes is an exciting, free-to-play app built to introduce sports betting education through gamification. We provide a risk-free environment for daily predictions, engaging young adults with a passion for sports - letting them compete with peers and win real prizes, all without financial risk.

We also work with established sports and gaming partners across Canada, helping introduce eligible users to their platforms and experiences.

As we continue growing across Alberta, we're looking for outgoing, sports-obsessed people who want a flexible opportunity to build real experience in business development, marketing, and customer acquisition.

The Role

You'll help grow HotTakes by introducing eligible users to HotTakes and our partner ecosystem, helping grow our user base through your network, campus community, social circles, and local events.

This isn't a traditional desk job. You'll have the freedom to figure out what works for you - whether that's connecting with people on campus, tapping into your existing network, attending local events, using social media, or finding your own creative ways to generate interest.

We're looking for people who are social, competitive, entrepreneurial, and comfortable putting themselves out there. If you're the person who knows everyone, is always talking sports, or naturally finds ways to make things happen, you'll probably enjoy this role.

What You'll Do

  • Drive app growth through word-of-mouth, social media, and direct outreach: online or in person.
  • Leverage your existing network to spread the word, whether that's your crew on site, your group chats, or your social following.
  • Organically grow your reach by introducing HotTakes to new communities, while educating peers on responsible, informed sports betting.
  • Collect user feedback and collaborate with the internal team to improve the product.
  • Build brand awareness through your personal and professional network.

You'd Be a Great Fit if You Are:

  • A current resident in Alberta.
  • You're currently attending university or college, or you're simply looking for a flexible side opportunity alongside work or other commitments.
  • Passionate about sports and sports culture.
  • Active in local rec sports leagues, community groups, or social circles.
  • You're competitive and motivated by performance-based earnings.
  • You're creative when it comes to networking, outreach, and finding new opportunities
  • You have experience in sales, serving/bartending, retail, fundraising, canvassing, promotions, brand ambassador work, events, or other people-facing roles, but previous experience isn't required.

Compensation & Time Commitment

  • Performance-Based Earning Potenial: Your earnings are tied to the results you generate, giving motivated team members the opportunity to earn more based on their performance.
  • Flexible Hours: This is a flexible, part-time opportunity that can fit around classes, another job, sports, and other commitments.

Perks & Rewards

  • Part-time, flexible schedule
  • Performance-based compensation
  • Uncapped earning potential based on results
  • Work independently around your existing commitments
  • Training, resources, and ongoing support provided by the HotTakes team

Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming

At HotTakes, responsible gaming is a core part of our mission. Our free-to-play betting simulator is an educational platform where users learn sports betting without financial risk - preparing them to confidently and responsibly engage with our affiliated, regulated sports betting and casino partners.

We empower sports fans to bet safer and play responsibly - always.

Join HotTakes and help shape the future of sports culture - one pick at a time.
