Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Optical Sales Assistant / Frame Stylist to join our dynamic optical retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting clients in selecting the perfect eyewear, and supporting the overall store operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and eye health, with a strong interest in helping customers look and feel their best. Prior experience in optical or retail sales is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in optical sales, fashion styling, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting eyewear frames that suit their style and prescription needs
• Educate clients on lens options, frame materials, and optical features using basic knowledge of medical terminology and optical concepts
• Measure and fit eyewear accurately to ensure comfort and proper alignment
• Maintain an organized display of frames and accessories, ensuring the store remains visually appealing
• Process sales transactions efficiently using retail POS systems such as Epic or similar platforms
• Support laboratory processes when needed, including handling lenses or assisting with repairs (laboratory experience is a plus)
• Keep up-to-date with current eyewear trends and product knowledge to provide expert recommendations
• Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking displays as necessary
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and providing personalized styling advice

Qualifications

• Previous experience in optical retail sales or related fields such as optical experience or laboratory work is highly desirable
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye care is a plus
• Strong retail sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and upselling techniques
• Knowledge of Epic or similar retail management systems is advantageous
• Ability to work well in a team environment while independently managing customer interactions
• Excellent communication skills with a professional appearance and friendly demeanour
• Passion for fashion, eye health, and helping customers find their perfect look
• Prior experience in retail management or optical settings is beneficial but not required
