WesCan Marble & Stone Restoration is a well-established, North Vancouver based, family-owned company founded in 2008. We have a solid portfolio of clients in the Lower Mainland and beyond and are now looking to expand our team of technicians to keep up with the demand.

Stone Technician - Position Summary

The Stone Technician is responsible for the finishing, repair, and maintenance of natural and engineered stone surfaces including but not limited to countertops, backsplashes, showers, fireplaces and flooring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Refinishing: Utilize hand tools, weighted floor machines, and diamond pads to remove stain and etch marks, and hone and polish stone to a high-gloss or matte finish.
  • Damage Repair: Fill chips, cracks, and fissures using specialized resins, epoxies, and color-matching techniques.
  • Cleaning & Sealing: Apply commercial-grade stripping solutions, deep-cleaning products, and both penetrating sealers and TuffSkin Surface Protection to protect stone against future staining.
  • Site Preparation & Protection: Mask off cabinetry, baseboards, and appliances, and ensure a clean, safe workspace.
  • Work directly with clients including but not limited to residential homeowners, property managers, and project managers while maintaining a highly professional demeanor.
  • This role requires kneeling, bending, and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Pay rate: Compensation is based on experience. Someone requiring training will start at $25/hr and up to $35/hr for someone with a minimum of 2-years stone restoration experience in residential and commerical settings. We also offer $800 in Health Spending Allowance per year following 3 months of probation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
