Social Media & Content Specialist

POSITION: Social Media & Content Specialist

Report to: Director of Marketing & Brand Management
Hours: Full-Time, hybrid, 40 hours per week, occasional evenings and weekends

Currently, we are missing a critical link (aka YOU) and seeking a candidate armed with passion and the ability to jump in and provide support for our marketing team.

The Snuggle Bugz Social Media & Content Specialist is a driven and organized individual with solid project management skills who can support in the execution of marketing initiatives across digital and social media platform that include, but are not limited to, social media strategy, content creation, content execution, social media reporting and digital marketing that are in line with our strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Content Creation & Design
• Shoot and edit video content for social media, paid advertising, launches, and brand storytelling
• Create short-form and long-form content across social platforms
• Design creative assets for social
• Help maintain and evolve the visual identity of the Snuggle Bugz brand
• Organize and manage photo, video, and creative assets
• Content and Social Media
• Lead strategy, coordination, scheduling, and posting across several owned social channels (Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, OR TikTok and YouTube)
• Manage social content calendars in relation to ongoing requirement, major events and promotions, product launches, etc.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative content strategies that support brand awareness, community engagement, and revenue goals
• Own content analytics and reporting – assessing trends, responding to algorithm changes, and championing overall social excellence
• Contribute to written content on Snuggle Bugz Learning Centre
• Stay current on social media trends, content formats, editing styles, platform updates, and emerging channels
• Coordination
• Work with internal and external resources for campaign scheduling, approvals, copy and graphical assets, product requests, edits, etc.
• Build creative and campaign briefs, assigning responsibilities, and managing project delivery schedules.
• Manage marketing calendars for content stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic planning discussions around business growth opportunities
• Reporting
• Responsible for regular delivery and sharing of marketing KPI’s to ensure constant commitment to and tracking of results across primary channels of marketing execution
• Manage weekly and monthly reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2-year experience in a similar role
• Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Proficiency in MS Office, WordPress
• Proficiency across social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
• Experience in business reporting, building presentations, and sharing analytical information
• Experience working with Canva (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator an asset)
• Excellent organization, project management and time management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Highly detailed oriented
• Ability to independently shoot both photo and video content
• Strong understanding of social-first content and modern digital storytelling
• Understanding of lighting, framing, composition, and visual storytelling
• Experience creating content across multiple social media platforms
• Understanding of content strategy, audience engagement, and social media best practices
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressured, deadline-driven environment

If it’s a match so far, you’ll meet with our team for a deeper dive into the role and your skills, virtually, usually about 40-60 minutes.

Step 4: Project and/or Filming Test
Time to shine! You might complete a short project or even join us for an onsite filming test. This helps us see your talent in action.

Step 5: Second-Level Interviews
Finally, you’ll meet with members of our team to ensure it’s the perfect fit on both sides.

Pay: $45,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
