The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Mechanic to join our team. The mission of the role is to support uninterrupted operations by maintaining and repairing service trucks and equipment, troubleshooting advanced mechanical and electrical systems, minimizing downtime and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

This position reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager.

We are located in Headingley, Manitoba. There is no bus service, so you must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Compensation: $28-40 per hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnosing and repairing service trucks and attached pump equipment
  • Rebuilding engines
  • Welding
  • After hours on call rotation
  • Completing work orders
  • Varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

The skills you bring:

  • Experience as a truck mechanic - minimum Level 3 Truck & Transport Mechanic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime and on call
  • Clean and organized
  • Ability to rebuild truck engines
  • Ability to diagnose and repair power-shift transmissions, and differential assemblies
  • Proficiency in structural welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) for heavy equipment bucket and other repairs.
  • Ability to logically break down complex, intermittent mechanical failures.
  • Skills to prioritize multiple work orders and meet strict fleet deadlines (time management)
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive fleet inspections and identify wear trends before failures occur

  • Minimum completed Level 2 Technical Training for Truck & Transport Mechanic and hours, working as Level 3
