Sales Rep

Kelowna, BC | Full-Time | In-Office | $25 - $27 Hourly + Commission

Arrowleaf Naturals is a Kelowna-based wellness company behind trusted brands in pet and human health, including NaturPet, Dr. Maggie, Arrowleaf Pet, and Master Formulae Botanicals. We’re a small, hands-on team that values initiative, clear thinking, and doing work that genuinely improves the lives of our customers and their pets.

About the Role

We’re hiring an Inside Sales & Training Coordinator to support revenue growth by:

  • Handling inside sales calls and follow-ups
  • Delivering distributor rep and retail staff trainings
  • Becoming a go-to source of product knowledge across our brands

This is a relationship-heavy role: you’ll help partners understand what to recommend, how to position products, and how to confidently answer customer questions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inside Sales (phone + email)

  • Make outbound and inbound inside sales calls to retailers and distributor accounts
  • Follow up on leads, reorders, promos, and training requests
  • Support account growth through consistent touchpoints (check-ins, product recommendations, seasonal opportunities)
  • Track activity and outcomes (calls, follow-ups, training completion, next steps)

2. Distributor Rep Trainings

  • Train distributor sales reps on product lines, positioning, key differentiators, and common objections
  • Equip reps with talk tracks, cross-sell suggestions, and “what to recommend when” guidance
  • Coordinate training schedules and ensure sales collateral is up to date

3. Retailer Staff Training

  • Deliver engaging staff trainings (virtual and/or in-person as needed)
  • Teach product basics: use cases, dosing, contraindications, and how to guide customers
  • Provide quick-reference tools that improve confidence on the floor (cheat sheets, top FAQs, comparison guides)

4. Product Knowledge & Enablement

  • Build deep working knowledge of product ingredients, benefits, use cases, and compliance-friendly claims
  • Maintain and improve training decks, one-pagers, and internal FAQs
  • Collect feedback from the field (what staff ask, what objections come up) and share insights with the team

What Success Looks Like (first 60-90 days)

  • You’re confidently speaking to our product lines and can handle common questions without escalation
  • You’re running regular trainings with distributors/retailers and improving staff confidence
  • You’ve established a consistent call/follow-up rhythm and can show activity + outcomes
  • Partners know who you are and see you as helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

  • Experience in inside sales, account support, or customer-facing sales (phone/email)
  • Strong training/facilitation skills (you can teach clearly and keep people engaged)
  • Ability to learn and retain detailed product information and explain it simply
  • Organized follow-through: you don’t drop balls, and you document next steps

What will make you stand out

  • Experience with pet industry, natural health, supplements, or wellness products
  • Experience working with distributors and retail partners
  • Comfort with basic reporting/CRM updates (tracking calls, outcomes, and training completion)

Skills and Traits We Value

  • Clear communicator (especially on the phone)
  • Confident, friendly, and professional with partners
  • Curious and coachable — you like learning products deeply
  • Practical and solutions-oriented (you help partners move forward)
  • Strong judgment which allows you to prioritize what matters and explain why
  • Comfortable working in a small team where priorities can shift

Tools You’ll Use

  • HubSpot CRM
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • PowerPoint or Canva Presentations

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year (based on experience)
  • Performance-based commissions
  • 2-weeks’ vacation
  • Health & dental available after 3-month probation
  • Staff discounts on our brands
  • Professional development funding available

Work Location

This is an in-office role in Kelowna, BC. Periodic travel required for networking, store visits, and/or tradeshows.

Please include:

  • Resume
  • Short cover letter (outline how your experience applies to the role)
  • Please note: If you’re applying from outside of Kelowna (or aren’t currently able to work in Kelowna), include a brief relocation plan outlining your current location and the date you can be based in Kelowna. Applications without a clear relocation timeline will not be considered.
