Job Summary
If you are passionate about shoes, SAS Comfort Shoes in Burnaby is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Part Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are offering 20 - 25 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up more hours during peak season.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with product selection, fitting and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
• Engage in upselling to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain merchandising standards and organize products on the sales floor
• Provide personalized customer service to enhance satisfaction and loyalty
• Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Keep the sales area organized, clean, and well-stocked
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Support team members in achieving store sales goals through effective communication and collaboration

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in technology or product demos
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
• Ability to work effectively in a bilingual environment; proficiency in multiple languages is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail operations
• Ability to perform basic cashiering duties accurately
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer experience
