Your role as a Critical Incident and Trauma Responder

Dialogue is looking for Independent Licensed Professionals to work closely with the Critical Incident Team as a Critical Incident and Trauma Responder. This role is to provide in-person interventions to companies experiencing high-impact events or distressing situations. Please note that this is an independent contract position (in Canada only) requiring availability as needed for interventions in your region.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide support in crisis and post-traumatic situations by applying clinical knowledge of acute stress and PTSD through the lens of Psychological First Aid
  • Provide individual and group intervention to employees and managers
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Critical Incident Team (such as writing clinical reports following in-person interventions, providing recommendations when necessary, etc.)

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the mental health field (e.g., psychology, social work, counselling, etc.)
  • A professional license and valid professional (liability) insurance
  • Extensive knowledge and experience providing psychological first aid intervention to adult populations in critical incident contexts
  • You have expertise in facilitating group interventions
  • Training and experience in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment and guiding leadership to foster and maintain team well-being and resilience
  • You are very punctual and flexible, as interventions can be planned last minute. Most of our interventions occur during the day and work week
  • You must be able to travel to the intervention location either by public transportation or personal vehicle
