Job Description & Expectations – Service Manager

Norheim Equipment Co is a growing agriculture equipment dealership group with 3 locations: Saskatoon, Lloydminster and Moose Jaw. We represent Vermeer, Supreme International, Arrowquip, Deutz-Fahr, EBY, JBS and other industry-known brands. We are a people-oriented business; we value the relationships we have with our clients, employees, vendors and the communities we serve.

We are looking for a Service Manager to be based out of our Saskatoon location. This is a great opportunity for an experienced service department person with room to grow within the company over time.

Position Summary

The Service Manager is responsible for leading and managing the service department at Norheim Equipment Co. This role ensures high levels of customer satisfaction, technician productivity, safety, and departmental profitability. The Service Manager oversees technicians, warranty administration, shop workflow, and field service operations with a strong focus on customer uptime during peak agricultural seasons.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engine or equipment diagnosis and repair (agriculture or heavy equipment preferred)
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of agricultural equipment, diagnostics, and service workflows
  • Experience with OEM warranty programs and Dealer Management Systems (IntelliDealer preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Core Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, train, and develop service technicians to improve productivity, safety, and technical skills
  • Monitor technician performance and conduct regular one-on-one performance reviews
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment

Customer Service & Department Standards

  • Ensure a professional, positive customer experience
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalations promptly and fairly
  • Maintain service department appearance and organization

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Schedule and stage work and parts to maximize technician efficiency
  • Ensure work orders are complete, accurate, and properly documented
  • Verify inspections, testing, and repair quality before equipment return

Warranty & Financial Management

  • Oversee warranty claims and ensure maximum recovery of labor and parts
  • Monitor service KPIs, budgets, and departmental financial performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$119,299.00 per year
