Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our technical service department. The ideal candidate will possess swimming pool and hot tub technical experience, with a background in repair, customer service, and sales. This role involves managing service technicians, ensuring high-quality repairs, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Service Manager will also be responsible for upselling services, handling cash transactions, and maintaining efficient workflow within the service department.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction
  • Oversee and support service technicians in diagnosing and repairing pools and hot tubs, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Manage customer interactions, providing expert advice on repairs and maintenance options
  • Upsell additional services or repairs to enhance customer value and department revenue
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation of all financial activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to foster a professional and motivated team environment
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies necessary for daily operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience with a strong understanding of sales, repair processes, and customer service protocols
  • Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable to effectively oversee repair work
  • Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
  • Experience handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Prior experience in swimming pool and hot tub repair or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
  • A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate movement when necessary

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
