Full job description

Assistant Service Manager | Arrow Motors

Business is booming, our bays are full, and our team is expanding! Because of our rapid growth, Arrow Motors is looking to add a dynamic Assistant Service Manager to our leadership crew.

We aren't just looking for someone to fill a seat; we’re looking for a high-energy operational leader to help us maintain our reputation for excellence as we scale. If you’re a natural coordinator who stays cool when the shop gets hot, excels at leading people, and wants a clear path to career advancement, we want to talk to you.

The Role: The Pulse of the Service Department

As Assistant Service Manager, you are the critical link between our clients, our technicians, and leadership. You don't just participate in the daily workflow—you help direct it. You will oversee daily service drive operations, step in as a primary point of escalation for clients, and take full ownership of our high-volume pre-owned inventory reconditioning process.

Your Core Mission:

  • Operational Leadership: Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily shop flow, ensuring technicians stay productive, and maintaining efficient throughput across all bays.
  • Proactive Communication Command: Act as our chief "Information Officer." You will oversee customer communication strategies, ensuring clients are updated on their vehicle’s status before they ever think to call us.
  • Reconditioning Pipeline Ownership: Take the lead on managing the end-to-end workflow for our Used Vehicle Reconditioning. You will collaborate with the sales department, control costs, and be the driving force behind getting inventory retail-ready quickly and efficiently.
  • The Technical Bridge: Masterfully translate complex "technician-speak" into clear, value-driven explanations for our customers, ensuring they understand and trust every recommendation.
  • Team Mentorship & Escalation: Act as a sounding board and mentor for service advisors. You will handle complex client inquiries and service escalations with diplomacy, speed, and fairness.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership Capability: A growth mindset with the ability to step up, make decisions, and refine processes as our department expands.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional interpersonal skills. You understand that clear, transparent communication builds trust with both your internal team and our clients.
  • Logistical Precision: A sharp eye for detail. Managing reconditioning schedules and service drive traffic requires someone who hates seeing a vehicle sit idle.
  • Professional Resilience: The ability to handle the morning rush with a steady hand, a sense of humor, and an unwavering commitment to a premium customer experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Assistant Manager, or Lead Reconditioning Coordinator in a dealership setting is highly preferred.

Why Arrow Motors?

We’re in an exciting phase of aggressive growth, which means more upward mobility and professional opportunity for you. We value transparency, efficiency, and a workplace culture where leadership actually supports the team.

"We’re moving fast, and we need a leader who can help us set the pace and manage the floor."

Ready to step into leadership with us? If you’re a driven automotive professional ready to take true ownership of our reconditioning and service operations, apply today and let’s get to work.
