Full job description

The Senior Sales Associate supports Management in the operation of the store, with a focus on serving customers buying and selling used product. The Senior Sales Associate will also be involved in opening and closing the store and handling cash, while maintaining proper financial and safety controls.

Attention to detail is required for the evaluation of used product and strong time-management skills will be necessary to ensure that customers are provided with reliable and accurate time estimates for their product buys.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading shifts.
  • Welcoming customers to the store and ensuring that their needs are identified and met, and that transactions are processed in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Educating customers about the used inventory buying process.
  • Buying and processing used inventory, including pricing, tagging and hanging inventory in the store.
  • Building and maintaining product safety knowledge related to children’s products.
  • Becoming familiar with the range of products and brands sold in the store, as well as the current style trends for children’s clothing and baby gear.
  • Performing opening and closing duties, including key control, locking and arming the store, and cash handling responsibilities.
  • Maintaining store merchandise displays.
  • Keeping the sales floor and the cash areas clean and tidy.
  • Operating the point-of-sale system.
