Position: Static Security Guard

Responsibilities:

• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of the assigned location.
• Perform static security duties with minimal downtime on site.
• Patrol long distances, including walking up and down stairs, and stand for long periods during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Proactively approach security, actively working to prevent and deter incidents before they occur.
• Engage comfortably with individuals suffering from mental health issues, addictions, substance abuse, and homelessness.
• Utilize strong communication skills to verbally deescalate potentially volatile situations.
• Treat all individuals with respect and professionalism, regardless of their status or situation.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to work as a cohesive team member.
• Physical ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness and capability to take a proactive approach to security measures.
• Comfort and experience in interacting with vulnerable populations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on deescalation techniques.
• Commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect, in line with 911 IRL's values.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous training and experience in communication skills, working with vulnerable populations, non-violent crisis intervention, and threat pattern recognition.
• Background in security or a related field is advantageous.

Pay: $275.00 per day
