Field Support Coordinator

BAMSS Contracting Inc. is a National Carrier based in Lacombe, AB, transporting NGLs across Western Canada with a fleet of late-model tractors and TC 331 and TC 407 trailers.

We are seeking a Field Support Coordinator to provide compliant, multi-faceted professional mentorship and support to a team of dedicated Drivers.

Responsibilities:

 Provide responsive technical, mechanical, procedural, and regulatory support to Drivers,

the Logistics team, Customers, and Management, at various worksites.

o Perform equipment inspection and minor repairs

o Coordinate repair services, etc., as required

 Train new Drivers and provide ongoing mentorship, demonstrating Company and site-

specific policy/procedure, administrative requirements, and compliance with relevant

Health and Safety regulation.

 Evaluate Drivers by conducting regular, on-site Driver evaluations, and PPE/document

audits.

 Evaluate worksites by conducting regular standard audits, acute hazard assessment,

weather conditions, and equipment conditions.

 Communicate field assessments to Field Supervisor and Logistics team.

 Record keeping/Administration related to billing/performed work and regulatory

requirements, including COR audit preparation, as required by HSE department.

 Represent Company core values, driving engagement with the Safety Program, industry

best-practice, and liaising between Management, Administration, Terminal Personnel,

Vendors, the Public, other Carriers, and Drivers.

Requirements:

 Class 5 Drivers License; Class 1 Drivers License preferred

 Tickets: H2S; First Aid; CSO (company-specific TDG/WHMIS provided); site-specific

orientations, as required

 5+ years directly related, operational experience with:

o Bulk liquids transport using B-train configurations: fluid dynamics; tractor/trailer

mechanics

o Varied weather and road conditions (highway and remote lease-roads).

o Provincial DLS/ATS/LSD land locations

o Pipeline & NGL Midstream operations: transfer systems, grounding/bonding, for

loading/unloading, terminal requirements, etc.

 Extensive knowledge of applicable federal and provincial regulatory frameworks:

o NSC; Transport Canda; AB Traffic Safety Act; TDG Act (class 2.1/3); AB COR;

DOT/CVSA inspections; CVIP requirements

o Weights and Dimensions (primarily AB/SK)

o Federal HOS

 Competencies: Team orientation, professionalism, flexibility, calm decision making

under pressure, ELD operation/maintenance, clear communication

Assets:

 Knowledge of/Experience with adult learners, training/professional mentorship,

competency-based assessment models

 Relevant supervisory experience

Job Type:

 Full-time; Permanent

 Variable hours/schedule including evenings/weekends/overtime, as required

 5+ years directly related experience operating B-train tanker configurations for

transport of bulk liquids (NGLs preferred).
