Responsibilities
- Patrol premises, monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and access points, and control entry to maintain security.
- Respond to alarms, prevent losses, report irregularities, and manage trespassers as necessary.
- Direct traffic and ensure safe vehicle flow on property.
- Document observations, incidents, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and complete reports.
- Monitor and maintain building systems and equipment; troubleshoot and coordinate repairs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies to maintain stability and reputation.
- Support team objectives and complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Alberta Security License
- Criminal Records Check
- Class 5 Driver’s License (Non-GDL)
- Standard 3-year abstract
- First Aid with CPR
- H2S Alive
- CSTS 2020 OR Common Safety Orientation (Energy Safety Canada)
- D&A test as required
- Previous security experience considered an asset
- Strong client service, judgment, dependability, and professionalism
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Skills: Lifting, surveillance, dealing with uncertainty, emotional control, safety management, reporting
