Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Greater Vancouver area candidates only

The Opportunity:

D3 Security is transforming SecOps with Morpheus, our AI-driven Autonomous Security Operations Center (ASOC) platform. Morpheus automates Tier 1–3 analyst work with unmatched precision, processing millions of alerts in real time and empowering security teams to respond faster and smarter. Our mission: to deliver scalable, intelligent, and integrated security operations solutions for the world’s most forward-thinking organizations.

We’re seeking a Cyber Security Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer success, and solutions delivery — someone who can communicate complex security concepts with clarity, conduct engaging product demonstrations, and build trusted relationships with enterprise clients.

What You’ll Be Doing...

  • Conduct product demos and technical presentations to showcase D3 Security’s solutions and their value to potential and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their SOC needs and translate requirements into production-ready automation systems.
Design, develop, and optimize detection and incident response playbooks using Morpheus.
Partner closely with sales engineers and product teams to build and deploy tailored solutions for customers.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping clients troubleshoot issues and maximize their investment in D3’s technology.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively to maintain strong customer relationships throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Share knowledge and mentor peers to elevate team performance.

What You’ll Bring to the Table...

  • 6+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, preferably with exposure to automation or SOC operations.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills — able to explain complex cybersecurity topics to both technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to engage directly with customers in demos, workshops, or solution design sessions.
  • Coding/scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
  • In-depth understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Unix/Windows administration, Active Directory, firewalls, IAM, vulnerability scanning, EDR, or secure coding.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP) and common services (web, mail, FTP).
  • Experience with SOC technologies such as IDS/IPS, DLP, DAM, or SIEM platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — especially in client-facing or demo settings.
  • Proven leadership qualities and collaborative spirit.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: From $65,000/year (plus bonus eligibility)
  • Benefits: Extended health care, paid time off, wellness program
  • Perks: Casual dress, commuter benefits, team events, free or discounted meals
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Vancouver, BC (in-office)
