General Body & Equipment is a custom industrial truck body builder with employees in Edmonton and Saskatoon. We continue to grow after more than 40 years in the business and built our reputation by consistently designing and building the highest quality custom truck bodies found on the road today. We believe in our employees and help them achieve their goals with hands on training and a supportive team-based environment.

General Body is currently looking for an entry level laborer to work in our Brake and Shear department.

The successful candidate may also be trained in:

  • Laser cutting and plasma cutting operations according to specifications with steel sheet metal and aluminum (sheet metal work)
  • Assemble components accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet standards
  • Operate press brake machines for bending and forming metal parts
  • Reading and Interpreting CAD Drawings
  • Assist in programming machinery for production tasks
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues as they arise

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required; training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions carefully
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks
  • Ability to work night shift when required
