Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with room for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and transaction recording
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero to maintain accurate financial records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure ledger accuracy
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting as needed
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for audit readiness
  • Support payroll processing and related activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
  • Experience with payroll processing is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in accounting or finance is a plus
