Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized store environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in retail sales, merchandising, and technical product demonstrations while supporting a dynamic shopping experience for our customers. Bilingual abilities and experience with technology sales are considered valuable assets. The Store Clerk will be instrumental in ensuring smooth store operations and fostering positive customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
  • Conduct product demos and provide technical sales support when needed
  • Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays and assist with merchandising efforts
  • Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as necessary
  • Handle cashiering duties including processing payments via cash, credit, or debit cards
  • Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, or exchanges
  • Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure a welcoming environment
  • Utilize organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and product displays is advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate products effectively and conduct product demos
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Multilingual skills are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases

This position is integral to delivering a positive shopping experience while supporting store operations through excellent service, technical knowledge, and organizational efficiency.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week

Work Location: In person
