Full job description

Getsup Inc. is a growing building-materials and industrial-equipment supplier serving contractors, builders, dealers and homeowners across Ontario. We are expanding our composite decking and exterior siding division and are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to help grow this product category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell composite decking, WPC exterior siding, accessories and related building materials
  • Develop new business with deck builders, fencing contractors, renovators, general contractors, developers and building-material dealers
  • Follow up with incoming leads by phone, email and in person
  • Visit job sites, contractor offices and potential dealer locations throughout the GTA (occasionally)
  • Understand customer requirements, calculate material quantities and prepare quotations
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business
  • Introduce product samples, colours, specifications and installation options to customers
  • Follow up on quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales
  • Keep customer information, sales activities and opportunities updated
  • Work with the warehouse and office teams to coordinate orders, inventory and deliveries
  • Attend trade shows, product demonstrations and other promotional events when required
  • Monitor competing products, market pricing and customer demand

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience in building materials, decking, siding, fencing, roofing, renovation or construction is preferred
  • Existing relationships with contractors, builders or building-material dealers are a strong asset
  • Strong communication, customer-service and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable developing new customers through cold calling, site visits and networking
  • Able to read measurements and calculate basic material quantities
  • Self-motivated, organized and results-oriented
  • Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office and CRM or sales-management software
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are an asset

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some local customer visits or trade events may take place outside regular hours.
