Full job description

We are a mid sized construction company seeking a motivated Junior Construction Site Supervisor to join the team. We have been in business for over 45 years.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate in Civil Engineering or Project Management for construction.

The position is mainly for the summer months with the possibility for extension.

Salary is entry level and negotiable.

Employees are eligible for performance based bonuses.

MUST BE CANADIAN RESIDENT.

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING WORK/STUDY PERMITS AT THIS TIME.

Duties

  • Supervising and directing subcontractors and construction workers, promoting a safe and efficient work environment
  • Assisting in coordinating daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope
  • Completing safety paperwork
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues promptly
  • Assisting with invoicing, estimating and change orders
  • Corresponding with the client and Architect

Required Skills

  • Ability to read construction documents and drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Excel, construction documentation & specifications
  • Ability to manage a team in a safe and cooperative environment
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • Excellent oral/written communication in English
  • Driver's License and vehicle mandatory, in order to visit various job sites around the GTA

Experience

  • candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • ** must be a Canadian resident**

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
