Receptionist / Administrator – Newmarket Campus

Job Summary

City College of Business, Health & Technology is seeking a professional, organized, and experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join our Newmarket campus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent front-desk service to students, prospective students, staff, and visitors while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the campus.

Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service, or an educational environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students, visitors, and prospective students in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries
  • Provide information regarding programs, registration, appointments, and campus services
  • Assist with student registration and administrative processes
  • Maintain accurate student files, records, and documentation
  • Schedule appointments and meetings
  • Assist with attendance records and other student administration
  • Prepare and organize documents and correspondence
  • Perform general office and reception duties
  • Support campus staff and management with daily administrative tasks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
  • Handle confidential information appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a receptionist, administrator, office assistant, or customer service representative
  • Experience working in a college, school, training institution, or similar environment is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable

Preferred Experience

  • Reception: 1 year or more
  • Administrative experience: 1 year or more
  • Education or post-secondary environment: an asset

Start Date

The successful candidate must be available to start within one week.
