As a LPN with Coast, you’ll have the opportunity to work in various long-term care and retirement home facilities throughout the province, providing compassionate care where it’s needed most. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Active registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
  • A professional attitude and neat appearance
  • Experience with senior care is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Sound judgment under pressure and in emergency situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care aligned with NSCN scope of practice and facility procedures
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and facility-specific protocols
  • Accurately document all resident care activities, including charting in PointClickCare
  • Administer medications safely and according to care plans
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident, employee, and organizational information
  • Build positive rapport with residents, families, coworkers, and management
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and incidents
  • Supervise and support facility staff as needed during shift coverage
  • Provide clear shift reports and updates

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

  • Transportation and accommodation support may be provided when applicable
  • Call on need basis – On call roles
  • Shifts may include: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, Days, nights, weekdays, and weekends

Job Types: Casual

Required Certifications:

  • LPN/RPN License (NSCN)
  • First Aid & CPR Certification

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
