Warehouse Associate – Receiver

Door Hardware Supply (DHS) is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate – Receiver to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and processing incoming shipments while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
  • Label, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment as required.
  • Load and unload trucks safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (training/certification required where applicable).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Follow company policies and all health and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, purchasing, customer service, and sales teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse or receiving experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
  • Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
  • A valid G driver's licence is an asset.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe workplace.
