Real Estate Appraiser jobs

We are an independent mobile appraisal company seeking a full-time appraiser in the Corner Brook, Stephenville, Deer Lake areas. This is a salary-based position to start, transitioning to commission-based pay, with compensation for personal vehicle use and a work-from-home arrangement.

To start, this is a salary-based position for 3-9 months but moves to commission-style pay once training is complete. Commissions can exceed 100k per year for the right candidate. Vehicle expenses are in addition to salary/commissions.

Responsibilities:

• Create physical damage appraisals for our various vendors through independent field inspections
• Support other co-workers during periods of high volumes
• Maintain a high level of expertise in automobile, RV, and Commercial repair techniques, estimating software, and vehicle evaluations
• Complete re-inspections and supplemental estimates when necessary
• Negotiate and settle total loss vehicles when required

Skills:

• Work independently and with a team
• Strong computer knowledge with experience with Windows, Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent customer service skills
• Familiar with Mitchell and Qapter estimating platforms
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience appraising /estimating automobile physical damages
• Certified Auto Body Repairman/Mechanic/HD Mechanic will be preferred.
• Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

• This is a position for an experienced technician within the Mechanical or Automotive field that will pay well, provide flexibility and independence. We will train the right candidate but having a solid base of experience is a must for this position.
