Full job description

Working Foreman description -

· Supervise and led a crew of 5-10 workers responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of highway guide rails and guide rail systems and concreate barrier walls.

· Perform hands-on work including setting posts, installing rail section, end terminals, and placing barrier wall units.

· Reading and interpreting construction drawings and layouts

· Operate and oversee the use of equipment

· Ensure all work is complied with roadway safety standards, traffic control requirements and company safety policies.

· Organize daily tasks, assign crew responsibilities, complete daily reports, safety documentation, and work progress records.

· Maintain communication with project managers, site inspectors, and traffic control personnel regarding job progress and site conditions.

· Ensure proper use of PPE

· Conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks

Qualifications:

· Experience: 2-5 years of experience in highway construction, public works, or heavy equipment operation is required.

· Education: A high school diploma or GED

· License: A valid G driver’s license is preferred

· Safety Training: Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) regulations and First Aid/CPR

· Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, interpret engineering drawings, and understand material specifications (e.g., steel beam, wood posts).

· Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift heavy materials (often 70-80 lbs), bend, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
