Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality systems for the manufacturing of motor commutators. This role will ensure product quality, compliance with ISO9001, and continuous improvement of production processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing, blueprint reading, internal auditing, and gauge calibration/control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits and coordinate external/customer audits.
  • Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product compliance.
  • Oversee gauges, measuring instruments, and calibration systems to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspections for manufactured parts.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quality management experience in manufacturing (motor components, electrical parts, or precision machining preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, internal auditing, and document control.
  • Experience writing procedures and quality documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, etc.).
  • Experience with calibration systems and gauge control.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone…).
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in electrical motor components, commutators, armatures, or machining.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Familiarity with balancing, insulation testing.
