Job Description

The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring high quality standards in fabrication and manufacturing of product at Rulmeca Canada daily. This position involves working alone and with of others to ensure the quality standards expected are met. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of appropriate materials, methods, tools, and standards for quality, and be able to communicate effectively with team members and management.

Job Duties

  • Interpret blueprints, instructions, and specifications to understand requirements.
  • Perform incoming inspection on material from vendors and complete required documentation.
  • Identify areas of non conformance and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Identify nonconforming product that does not meet requirements and quarantine when necessary.
  • Perform final inspection of product prior to shipment and tag.
  • Verify production requirements for quality are being met daily.
  • Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner by working with the Quality and/or Production Supervisors.
  • Ensure measuring equipment is clean and calibrated as required. Identify repairs as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for training to support quality objectives and train others as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and retained to meet quality standard requirements.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Support the quality system ensuring that procedures and practices are being adhered to. Involvement in continuous improvement of these procedures and practices.
  • Support the corrective action process to prevent recurrence.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • 2 years of experience in a quality related role
  • Internal Auditor experience an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Certifications related to Quality
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, tools, quality assurance and ISO regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Ability to identify issues and problem solve
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks

Pay: $18.00 per hour
