Job description

The Category Manager, MRO Purchasing will be responsible for managing purchasing activities that will benefit the subsidiaries of the Giampaolo Group by providing a purchasing approach and strategy to lower the cost of buying, reduce risk in the supply chain and increase the overall value from the supply base.

Overview of Responsibilities:

· Strategic oversight of the sourcing and procurement process as it pertains to the Maintenance, Repair and Operations expense through:

o Analyze and recommend SKU rationalization in the maintenance stores.

o Strategic Supplier Sourcing across Globe, resulting in the best value for the subsidiaries.

o Prepare request for quotes and negotiate contracts.

o In Depth Market analysis of categories managed.

o Coaching and advising on MRO purchasing local items.

· Instrumental member of design and implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

· Design, develop and manage the Purchasing Reporting from the EAM System.

· Develop and manage the preferred supplier programs for the Giampaolo Group.

· Responsible for communicating and coaching the programs into the subsidiaries.

· Following up with, monitoring, and measuring success.

· Organize all quarterly review meeting for Tiered Suppliers.

· Assist in the cascading of the Corporate Purchasing Policy and Procedures.

· Design and prepare monthly reports pertaining to MRO categories and compliance.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration, or related field

· 5-10 years MRO purchasing experience

· Accreditation from one of the following designations: SCMP, ISM, or PMAC

· Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders

· Proven ability to organize, prioritize, problem-solve and ensure accuracy (attention to detail).

· Proven ability to demonstrate good communication skills with a positive attitude.

· Strong attention to detail & accuracy, & ability to interact with customers over the phone in high stress situations.
