Full job description

Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a new Purchaser to join their team. This is a 1-year maternity coverage position but may become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Position Details:
  • Office-based position located in Chetwynd, BC
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Approximately one-year term with potential for permanent employment

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing materials and services using the Limble CMMS
  • Coordinating parts procurement and deliveries
  • Communicating with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating logistics for shipments to our operating facilities
  • Working closely with Maintenance and Operations to ensure materials are available when required
  • Occasional travel to our plant sites may be required. Company transportation will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous purchasing experience
  • Parts or industrial supply background preferred
  • Experience working in maintenance, oil & gas, or an industrial environment would be considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Experience with Limble or another CMMS would be an asset but is not required
