Full job description

We are looking for a full time maintenance technician. This person will be responsible for repairs in the guest rooms, public areas, other areas of the hotel and hotel grounds, and our staff accommodation/rental units. WE OFFER PRIVATE BEDROOM IN SHARED 2 BEDROOM APARTMENTS, SUBSIDIZED STAFF ACCOMMODATION.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper in all weather conditions.
  • Complete work order requests in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain all work areas in an orderly and clean condition.
  • Inspect public areas daily for any issues.
  • Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas, and administrative offices.
  • Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door, and window repairs.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
  • A valid class 5 driver's license and clear drivers abstract is required
  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Minimum 1 year of previous maintenance (hotel experience an asset)
  • A.M./P.M. shift bi-weekly or as required
  • Houseman duties as required on P.M. shifts (vacuuming, light cleaning, deliveries etc)

Training available, shared staff accommodation available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
