Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and people-centered HR Manager, People & Culture to lead the human side of our organization. This role goes beyond traditional HR administration — you will be the architect of our workplace culture, the champion of employee experience, and a strategic partner to leadership on all things people-related. If you're passionate about building environments where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Design and drive initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and a sense of belonging across all teams.
  • Act as a culture custodian — ensuring company values are reflected in everyday decisions, communications, and behaviors.
  • Plan and lead employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and team-building activities.
  • Regularly gather employee feedback (surveys, focus groups, one-on-ones) and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Sit on the People Project Committee, contributing to discussions on employee engagement strategies, and the planning of employee activities and functions.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive and culture-aligned candidate experience.
  • Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and build strong talent pipelines.
  • Design and continuously improve onboarding programs that help new hires integrate quickly and feel welcomed.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage core HR functions including payroll coordination, benefits administration, leave management, and HR record-keeping.
  • Process and administer payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review and approve employee timesheets, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked, leave, and overtime.
  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Performance & Development

  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting, reviews, and feedback cycles.
  • Identify learning and development needs, and coordinate training programs to support employee growth.
  • Support career development conversations and internal mobility opportunities.

Employee Relations & Wellbeing

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Champion employee wellbeing initiatives, including mental health support and work-life balance programs.
  • Foster open communication channels between employees and leadership.

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Use HR metrics and data to inform decisions on retention, engagement, and culture health.
  • Contribute to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on culture, engagement, or employee experience.
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and comfort working with HR data/metrics.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes, including hands-on experience supporting or coordinating payroll runs, deductions, and payroll-related queries.
  • A genuine passion for people, culture-building, and creating positive workplace experiences.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative, values-driven work environment.
  • Opportunities to shape and evolve company culture from the ground up.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Dental care
  • Discounted or free food
  • Extended health care
  • On-site gym
  • Paid time off
  • Vision care
  • Wellness program
