Full job description

Our Company specializes in custom metal manufacturing and has been in business for over 35 years. Equipped with the most advanced manufacturing technology, we are continually expanding to meet the needs of our growing customer base.

We are seeking a Production Office Administrator

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING OFFICE

Requirements:

  • Experience: Min.3 years
  • Must have worked in a production/manufacturing environment
  • General office equipment, Email, Electronic scheduler, MS Word, Excel, Accounting software, MRP software (Proficiency in Excel is an asset)
  • Must have excellent data entry skills
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Must have previous experience in a production office
  • Must have strong mathematical skills
  • Experience with MRP software (i.e. JobBOSS) is an asset
  • Mathematics proficiency is required for this position and will be tested in the interview.
  • Must be well organized
  • Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Must be fluent in English, written and oral.
  • Ability to read shop drawings is a strong asset and could lead to promotion.

Area of Specialization: Production order processing

Duties:

  • Receive phone/fax/Internet orders and process.
  • Perform simple calculations to determine blank sizes for production of metal parts.
  • Use MRP software to prepare orders for production Prepare production labels Monitor orders in production.
  • Perform calculations and work with dimensions
  • Prepare packing slips for goods produced and shipped Update inventories of products produced and shipped.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure jobs/projects are completed on time
  • Coordinate shipments to across Canada and the U.S. (including preparation for shipping and customs documentation)
  • Order supplies (i.e. Issue purchase orders) and maintain inventory.
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
  • Maintain and prepare reports using JobBOSS production software.
  • Create reports using Excel
  • Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
  • Prepare inventory labels (for components and finished products)
  • Count hardware and accessories for projects using a counting scale
  • Prepare part labels using a barcode printer
  • Coordinate and prepare paperwork for local and cross county/border shipments
  • Assist other departments (i.e. Accounting, marketing, etc.) with clerical tasks

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
