Full job description

Ottawa General Contractors specializes in renovations and new build construction. We operate in a fast-paced, competitive environment, and our main goal is to give our clients the best construction experience possible.

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in residential and multi-family construction to join our team. The successful candidate is extremely organized and detail-oriented with a positive attitude and knowledge of construction and trades.

This individual will be reporting to the Construction Manager. The position is required to provide leadership in the performance of all activities related to the execution of the projects, including: Pre-construction planning, Managing sub-contractors, daily client communication, quality control, planning and cost control, material management, leading site safety standards, budget and schedule management, troubleshooting and resolving job site issues, updating and interacting with clients, facilitating and negotiating change orders.

Our ideal Project Manager will fulfill the following education, experience and skills requirements;

  • 5+ years of experience in resdential construction
  • Familiar with Part 9 of building code
  • Knowledge of construction best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise
  • Ability to motivate
  • Capacity to work under pressure
  • Professional and charismatic disposition
  • Valid Drivers license
