Job Summary

Aztec Engineering provides quality designs, solutions and support to the oil and gas industry.

We are currently looking for a Engineer or Technologist (Oil & Gas Facilities / Pipelines) to join our team at our head office located in Grande Prairie, AB or one of our branch offices located in Calgary, Edmonton or Lacombe.

As a Project Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Engineering Design Packages
  • Project Management (AFE estimates, engineering estimates, scheduling, etc.)
  • Equipment Procurement
  • Regulatory Approvals
  • A strong commitment to working safely and protecting the safety of others

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Either a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, Chemical or similar)
  • Registered as an EIT or P.Eng with APEGA, or registered as a T.T. or C.E.T. with ASET
  • 2+ years of oil & gas experience related to facilities / pipelines is preferred
  • Operations field experience
  • Familiarity with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 Code
  • Be highly analytical and the ability to establish strong internal and external relationships
  • Be energetic, resilient, collaborative and goal oriented
  • Any relevant experience in the upstream or midstream oil and gas industry
  • Experience leading client meetings
